hello, i had a TP1 activated on boost, but i just called and tried activating the TP2 on boost, and gave them my DEC
IMEI
ESN HEX
ESN DEC <-- this one i gave
the first rep said it was a sprint phone but said he activated it anyway, however i powered it on 10 minutes later and i couldn't make any phone calls, called again the 2nd time and the rep said they couldn't activate the phone because it was a sprint on there records.
Is there something i'm missing here? i get that i'm most likely going to speak to a rep who could allow it i guess, but why didnt it work the first time, i'm not getting this and now i got no phone service
Did you manually program the phone after the first activation?
managed to get it activated 5 minutes after posting thread, this time they made me dial ##code## and edit mdn and msid, and now i get calls. However
no internet ? unlike my touch pro 1 , anyway i can get web enabled again?
Go to settings & update the profile & prl. After that it could take 24-48 hours to get data
sent from my evo shift on boost
so as long as i am able to receive and send phone calls, i'm good to go on my end? so just update profile and prl, no firmware right?
by the way do you know what the ##code## is for the tp2, i forgot it, would like to know for the future to access mdn and msid
Right profile & prl, u can try a firmware update. if u need the msl & mdn u can call boost and tell them u need to manually program your phone because it's not working
sent from my evo shift on boost
When switching to a new device, internet (and possibly texting) may not work for 24-48 hours (from my experience).
I see you did get the calls working though. In the future, if it somehow happens again that you're not sure if the phone was activated, you can login to your Boost account online, click on "Update Handset" and it'll tell you your current handset.
I knew it!
