I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Samsung Galaxy S3. Coming out the week of the 20th (Guy at WIND store hasn't even got a memo about it yet).

as I can remember, someone mentioned that wind might carry sony's phones. It's been almost 4 months since that post.

They are looking for a replacement as soon as possible and most probably don't even need the S3.

Best current Android on Wind is the galaxy nexus. No bias here. Lol

OP said price is a factor. We don't know winds price yet but it will be the most expensive option.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. So what I can confirm so far is everyone has a different opinion lol. Oh well, that's not new. Price is was a factor but now I've spent last night and today online looking at all the different phones that Wind carries and comparing them to the Samsung Galaxy S iii and maybe it's worth investing a little bit more money to get such an awesome sounding phone. Assuming it's actually going to come out when they say it will (June 20th). Does anyone have any idea how much it will cost with Windtab?

Yes. So far it is true. But hardly people would accept a $599 price tag whereas Google in the US is selling it at $399.

They go for the tab or discount thing (big3) as if it is a great deal for a great phone. For wind buyer he pays $200 plus the tab binding thing for 3 years

That pretty much rules out almost anything from Huawei, Samsung, and HTC. Time and time again, these manufactuers have released phones with sub-par signal strength. If you want something Android but good reception is of a good importance to you, the Motorola Defy is one of the best. It's a very old model, isn't very fast, and has an outdated operating system, but the recpeption is excellent.

If the newest Android OS, fast cpu, and a big screen are some of your needs, you may have to see if one of the newer Samsung or HTC has good enough reception for you. But keep in mind, both have rather bad repuations in that regard when it comes to reception. Some notable models are: Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Galaxy SII X, HTC Amaze, HTC Sensation

Hopefully, that holds true. We need more phones that people can use without them feeling as if they are sacrificing that key element.

I have both the HTC Amaze and Galaxy Nexus. Right now I'm using GN but I'll switch back to Amaze as soon as it gets the ICS update. Htc has better camera, better reception, and better hardware quality. Only two reasons I'm preferring GN over HTC at the moment are ICS and a bit bigger screen.

For OP since price is a factor and Amaze would be $100 cheaper than the GN, get the HTC. It's a great phone and you can't go wrong with it.

I own an HTC one S now and love it vs. my Samsung Gnex but the HTC Amaze is just to heavy for me and might be for you coming from the huawei.
Now coming from a huawei and being happy with it the new Huawei U8651 is a big improvement over yours and is also free with Windtab or at it\s price might as well buy it outright.
Since you asked about other models to recommend even if they are not Android i would recommend the Nokia Lumia 710 or better yet if you want to maximize the benefit of your Tab the HTC Radar 4G.
As others stated here i would agree the Samsung Galaxy s 4G is not worth it's price today.
