I got Elite. Last time I checked which was a couple of days ago, my account still said I'm on $25 plan. I always top up with callingmart calling cards.
If you activated your Elite before May 27th (which I did), you get to keep your grandfathered plan.
The problem is if you want to swap out your grandfathered Elite for any reason whatsoever (damage, loss, theft, etc). they are forcing you to upgrade your plan or downgrade your phone to one that was introduced before May 1, 2012.
I have been working on my issue with their social media team for almost two weeks. They swapped my phone (Optimus Elite on $25 plan) but put me on their $35 plan without my permission. Solution is still not solved but they assure me they are working on it.
We'll, topped up for month number two on my Elite and had the same issue. They wouldn't restart it and wanted $35 in account. Two cs reps and another half hour of my life wasted, it was fixed. This time they promised and promised again that I will not have an issue as long as I keep this phone. Primetech, they said I could downgrade and keep plan. They gave me 50 free minutes for the aggravation My wife has same phone, activated at a later date than mine and had no issues. Has anyone else had this issue when renewing? Its getting annoying!!
I've had the Elite since May 25th and I haven't had a single problem paying my $25 grandfathered plan. Every month I think I will run into problems but so far so good!
