    Yes, you'll get 3G on at&t and its mvno's with a Gevey. A cdma iphone has the same hardware as a gsm one so no 3G for Tmoblile.

    I mainly think its cause they're restrictive a$$holes. I think thats exactly why Verizon chose CDMA, So they could lock customers into two year contracts and make it to where they couldn't leave with their phone and to reduce competition.

    When T-Mobile refarms their network in major cities it will be compatible with 3G data service, from my understanding though it will be slightly limited because of the amounts of spectrum they have in some cities not being enough but for most it will be fine.
