Kind of a noob when it comes to cell phones. Trying to figure out the best provider.

Lately my phone (MyTouch 4g *original*) has been having problems charging. Instead of buying another 400$ phone for T-mobile, I was thinking about switching carriers. I cant afford Verizon Or AT&T contracts unless I get hard evidence it is worth it in my area. I live in central washington and have been searching for a map of the best coverage here. I can't seem to find a map but I did find cell towers registered by the FCC.

From the looks of it, most towers are running in the 800mhz range. Does this mean anything significant? What cell carrier might benefit from this frequency the most? Any help would be great.

All companies have a return period, and Verizon should waive the restocking fee due to lack of service. Atleast my store does. Return it before 3 days and no bill for activation fee. I'd definitely try vzw first because it's honestly the most likely to get a signal.

You can start by going to carrier websites and using the links to their coverage maps. Pay close attention to the legends to avoid being mislead.

    1. Verizon
    2. AT&T
    3. Sprint

Coverage maps aren't always accurate, so it's best to ask the people where you live. You could also buy three cheap prepaid phones- one on each network- and test it for yourself. If you want Verizon or AT&T on the cheap, look into Page Plus (Verizon MVNO) or Straight Talk SIM (AT&T MVNO).
