Boost mobile not receiving texts from third party?
I was on virgin mobile before I switched over to boost on the first of June. Now I have Facebook authentication enabled on my Facebook account and it used to text me a code every time I login from a new computer or device or cleared my browsing history. Since I switched to boost mobile I stopped receiving all such texts. another one is redbox. I called boost customer service and they just had me reactivate the phone on the network. Useless. Still not working. I receive text messages from other people just fine. Anybody has any idea or the same problem as i'm having?
Try factory resetting your phone. Or maybe, if you have a spare Boost phone, switch temporarily and see if it works with that (it will take like 24 hours at most to receive messages from carriers other than Sprint/Boost). Though it shouldn't be an issue with your device, I would still give it a go seeing as reactivating the phone didn't solve it.
Since the text that you're having problems receiving maybe the problem is at their end? I remember I used to get text from my bank back in the day and I had to tell them what service I have my phone on. When I switched from AT&T to Boost I stopped getting alerts until I remembered and told my bank that I was on Boost mobile now...
