Hello experts of Howard Forums, I just recently got a bell HTC one v from bell, which I unlocked to use with my virgin SIM card, but the phone just keeps showing up as 'no service' even when I'm in an area clearly with signal. I checked the phone with a 7-11 speakout SIM and it worked fine. Any idea why this is happening? And is there some way to fix it? thanks guys!

When you use the 7-11 SIM, what kind of connection are you receiving? GSM/EDGE? Or HSPA? My suspicion is you have 3G setting turned off. To confirm, try a Rogers SIM and a Telus SIM if you have friends who are using their services. If you find that Rogers works under 2G and Telus doesn't, then most likely that's the case.
Also perform a reset on the phone, as you may have played around with other settings and forgotten about it.
I have an iPhone 4 from Bell and I inserted my Virgin Sim in it ..All I did was rebooted the Phone and All was Well...Maybe give it a try
Using AT&T GoPhone Sim with unlocked Rogers phone?
