    SMS purchases

    What is the extent which purchases or donations can be made by SMS text messages?

    At present, I am only aware of the Red Cross $10 donations to HAITI.

    I have a very healthy prepaid (Telus) balance.
    Much to my disappointment, I am unable to apply this balance towards a phone purchase.

    I'd like to know if there are methods of applying this balance towards gift card topups, or donations to other charities.
    Donating this money to my telco is last on my list.

    I found the answer for donations... http://mobilegiving.ca or http://mobilegiving.org

    Now I just have to find how to top up my Tim Hortons or Starbucks card by SMS ...
