I just used my CC to top up through boost's site so I didn't try it but it looks like walmart is offering e-mail delivery of codes. I went as far at the checkout and it showed a $55 card for $55 with no tax so that's cheaper than boost.

Here is a link for $55 card http://www.walmart.com/ip/Email-Deli...boost/20690424

in the comments people are saying it's tax free but can take a day or 2 to get the codes, but it does appear they are being sold directly from walmart so it shouldn't be as risky as ebay ect.. I got stung by that gemmsjewlery guy a few months back and don;t want to deal with that hassle again.

    $40 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Email-Deli...ingMethod=p13n

    $35 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Email-Deli...ingMethod=p13n

    $15 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Email-Deli...ingMethod=p13n

Just tried with two $15 cards and got this:

    Code:
    Subtotal (2 items) $30.00
    Merchandise Fees $0.45
    Shipping Free
    Tax $2.48

    Order Total $32.93
FWIW - The "Merchandise Fee" is the Illinois E911 tax on prepaid cards (1.5% of the value of the card) and the tax is dead on accurate for the zip code I entered during check out.

Cheaper than Boost by a little bit, but it's a buck and a half more expensive than buying at Target with the 5% discount.

What I would suggested to do is to go to the locally owned cell phone stores at any place in USA that has Boost, I have tried stores LA, Ca and Kansas city, Mo/Ks, just pay my monthly bill 2 months at a time, $40.00 per month, no taxes.

Ironically, walmart. When I recharged my patio plan last time, boost website tried to charge 15% of taxes, while local walmart charged 7% sales tax.

I know it is way past late for a response, but yes you can use Target gift cards to buy airtime. For me, Target Redcard and BB Reward Zone points are about the best ways to purchase Boost airtime. Also, Kmart's Shop Your Way Rewards issues me $10 off $40 coupons quite frequently. Plus, they load $3 coupons good for any purchase a lot as well. You just gotta look at your receipt and check their site once a week.

Has anyone tried boost mobile refills at www.megasaver.com ? I'm not sure if they add tax and/or the $3 surcharge. Would like to know if anyone has tried them.
