New Case and Battery for the Evo 3D you wont be disappointed.

I got a few goodies for my phone the other day.

Anker 1900Mah battery. Same size as the factory battery. Makes a huge difference in my battery life. Im getting a sold 3-4 hours extra off this battery and it runs cooler. Don't ask me how an extra 180mah is allowing me to do this, perhaps the factory batteries arent really 1720mah or they aren't as efficient. Seems everyone in the reviews are having the same bump in battery life.

I spent 300 bucks so I want to protect it. Im usually an Otterbox guy but the defender for the EVO 3D turns it into a brick. My friend has one, and if your not working on a construction site, your going to look silly holding this VHS tape in your hand. I thought about the Otterbox commuter case, but there is a huge gap at the top - some type of flaw. I looked at all different types of cases and best one I could find was the Seidio Active case w/ Holster. 2 layer case and the face goes into the holster which adds much more protection. The holster is lined with a soft material so not the hurt the face of the evo. They come in different colors - i went with black.

Anker seems to be a fav 3rd party battery huh.

The case looks rediculus.. or should I say the belt clip does. ^^ I would never bother with the belt clip cause it is just asking to get knocked off or scuffed against something. Also my job prohibits it as part of the dress code so in the pocket it goes.

    Radioshack happeend to have HTCs own ruberised otterbox knock off for 10 bucks so I quickly grabbed that one... but I see doing a search on amazon that you can get all sorts of cases for pennies.. only thing that sucks is its like 3 bucks shipping for everyone. Still its hard to go wrong. I kind liked this one;

Not many of them protect the camera glass.

The holster is very sturdy, its not a cheapo model. The only way that phone is coming out of the holster is if the case gets ripped off the phone. I wear my holsters on the inside of my pants rather then sticking out (like people used to wear pagers back in the day). Its pretty comfortable and easy to take out and put back in without looking.

I went with this http://www.amazon.com/Cell-NerdsTM-T...+evo+v+4g+case. It's a real sturdy case, having been tested after I dropped the phone on the pavement!

the only problem I noticed with my Anker battery is that it drops off pretty severely after 15%

Well if it takes an extra 2-3 hours to get to that 15% then I really dont care. Im more interested in overall battery life. So far its pretty amazing.

I was looking at those type of cases, those corners are just awful looking.

I just want to bump this because I finally went and ordered the case I linked above. it comes from hk so it took a while, although this was probably one of my fastest international ships.

The skin is damn sexy. Its a hard glossy rubber shell unlike the HTC one which is a flexible bulky rubber. This cover not only hugs the phone like halle berrys cat suit, but it has got the same glossy sheen and the rubber is stiff so the stylish grip on the side feels great. The lens covering is also really sweet, it really creates a recess for the lenses and I imagine I will need to clean them even less now. The only thing that sucks is the only other color this comes in is a bad looking purple/black mix.

I just received both the case and battery also. Impressive is an understatement. This has got to be the best holster/hard/soft shell I've ever seen. The belt loop seems to be made from quality material that has a good hook to prevent it from sliding off your belt and the phone seems to latch to the holster very securely. Well worth the $20 with free shipping.

The battery seems to drain much slower than the stock battery so far. So it looks like it should last longer.

    Thanks for posting the info!

i've had an otterbox defender since before i owned the phone. its totally bulky and honestly not that tough. The screen protector has several large gouges in it (which is good, since my screen is fine, but there are 3 big ones now) the lenses covers are super dirty and too deeply recessed to easily clean with anything other than a qtip. typing the letters q and p is tough because the screen is so recessed.

and recently the silicone wrap has gotten baggy and can prevent the case from fully clicking into the holster and the phone has popped out. the last time it popped out i was riding my bike down a hill and the case exploded on impact, the front plate of the otterbox went one way, the back and the baggy silicone wrapper went the other, the battery cover came off and the aluminum ring around the phone (bezel?) got bent and separated partially from the phone. front screen was fine, glass around the lenses was scratched but not the lenses, the 2d-3d switch popped off.

i'm going for this one since it slides together like some iphone cases i have seen, not clicking into place and has a holster. i need a holster.

Meh, id never go for a holster, to easy to pop off, I dont want my lenses exposed like that, and its not part of my works dress code too.
