i have unlocked tmobile galaxy s2, if i switch to Straight Talk or Red Pocket, what data speed i would get ?
Thanks all
The phone supports AT&T's 1900MHz 3G network, so it would definitely work. It all depends on whether or not the area where you use your phone has 3G and I assume that it does.
Fellow members have reported that Red Pocket has slower speeds than Straight Talk, but at least Red Pocket lets you use the 2GB in any way you wish.
It would be an interesting experiment to use the Galaxy S2 from T-Mobile on ST as it is a HSPA + 42mbps (theoretical) device, so you could potentially see faster average speeds than other people on ST (if they were in the same area as you) as all AT&T devices support HSPA+ 21 at the most, so you would see faster speeds than they might.

I have a locked Tmobile SGS2 and I'm considering moving to straight talk. I'd like to get the Att Sim since Tmobile is kind of spotty in my area. In order to unlock it, would I just need to call Tmobile and ask them to unlock it? Once it is unlocked, will I be able to pop in an ATT sim card from ST or will I have to do some setting adjustments. I've been reading about APN setting and it seems confusing! I don't want anything too complicated
