Call Bell and they will give you free unlimited text messaging

Are you a Bell Mobility subscriber and signed a contract before February 2012 that has not yet expired?

If so, and you don't already have unlimited text messaging, they will give you unlimited text messaging for free for the remainder of your term because they increased the individual text messaging rate from $0.15 to $0.20 on February 1 and this is a breech of the contract on their end.

Hope this helps someone out there.

It's worth noting you can also change to a completely different rate plan as long as it is over the minimum value. I switched to the fab10 35 plan that has unlimited messaging included and is $5 cheaper than the talk and more 40 I had (fab10 also has evenings at 6pm and 5 more unlimited numbers obviously).

Along with the CID and VM for $5 bundle they had a while back I knocked $15/month off my bill.

I wish they would give me call-forwarding for free instead!

Just attempted to do this, and they were no help (other than to offer me the ability to add on a text plan at my expense). I have a copy of my contract directly in front of my face from July 2010 (which says 15 cents per message), and they say I need to fax them in a copy of it with a brief explanation of my problem. I'm not holding out much hope, but I can say for certain that I never received anything outlining the changes. I used to have an unlimited text plan though...so maybe they were only sending the notices out to people that did not have one.

I've just phoned bell. The rep told me that any Bell will honor 15 cents per sms if I signed up before Feb 2012.

I haven't gone over my 300 text so I can't verify whether Bell charges me $.15 or $.20.

    Am I missing something?

Wasn't the situation for me. Was being charged at 20cents per. I am pretty sure you're being lied to.

Entirely depends on who picked up your call in my experience. If he got laid last night he might be happy enough to give it to you, otherwise you'll probably be told to piss off.

Looks like the rep I spoke to didn't get laid the night before
