Will they still send a v pin to the phone through text without account details?

Ok there is a nice Virgin Mobile phone for cheap on ebay because the guy said he bought it and he couldn't activate it cause it was tied to a account. However about a year and a half I had this same problem and I called and I was upfount with VM and said " I don't know the details of the account but I got the phone in fount of me. Could you send the pin to me" and they did. My question is will they still do that? The phone is a great price if I can still do it. Thanks

It's a hit or miss with vkey/pin help.
Some CSR's will do that for you, while others either do not know it is possible or just are not well trained with regards to that.

The small star underneath the posters profile info next to their post adds reputation points, if I'm not mistaken.

The pin is setup with a question, you need to know the answer to the question. The vpin would be useless if just anyone could get it.
