I was thinking about switching to a data only package. Wondering what Fido's 3G network will be like for VOIP calls. I'm in the Greater Vancouver area.

I'm not sure about the Greater Vancouver area but in Montreal, the 3G Fido 3G/3G+ data service has its good times and bad times. I've tested it with my SIP phone with Fido's 3G+ data service and there are times when the call quality is pretty good (except for the lag/latency inherit in the cellular data network which can get annoying) and other times when the quality is pretty bad (you will get skips/blanks in the conversation).
