I am used to the speeds at this point but I am always amazed at how fast the network is whenever I leave the city. In sacramento it is like I have a different phone.

Here is a speed test I just ran in potrero hill near 17th and rhode island.

Why don't you get a carrier that actually works? Heck, in that case you might be better off with T-Mo. Either that or an LTE phone?
I usually support government regulation, but It is unfortunate that the government over-regulated and killed the AT&T/ T-Mobile Merger
The best explanation of the pricing nutiness in the industry.
Why Sprint and T-Mo will always suck.
The only way to end the pricing insanity is to eliminate contracts and subsidies.
I want Wifi calling on AT&T.
If you text while driving, you're an idiot. End of story.

Anything under 400K is bad for HSPA. Sucks but what are your other options?

From my T-Mobile Galaxy S II
LTE has arrived. The third carrier in Las Vegas with 10x10 LTE coverage

Coverage will expand to 100 million LTE pops for the first half of 2013, with the second half of 2013 expanding to 200 million POPs covered. Release 10 LTE (2×10, 2×20) will be better performing than all other competitors.
T-Mobile USA. “This year, we’re stepping on the gas again. We are making continued coverage improvements and launching an advanced LTE network

Oh I don't live in the city. I live in the suburbs hence I take Caltrain. So I'll bear with it.

    From a test in Ukiah.

Edit-You'll lose AT&T's LTE on the Marin County side of the Golden Gate, and Verizon's LTE just north of San Rafael.

Yea, AT&T's data was dead in and around the airport when I was there earlier this year. It's funny- AT&T swears its better!

I was at concert a couple weeks ago, and AT&T was completely useless. Started with 5 bars of HSPA+, then data crashed. No texts or phone calls would work. It then went from no service to G. About ~15000 people were there. What I don't understand is why at&t would not put LTE on that tower knowing that massive crowds would be there. It is in an LTE area, just not quite. Verizon LTE seemed to be the only service working.

Nice! The best I've been able to hit up here in the Ukiah area on the download is just over 10 Mbps, uploads max out at 1 Mbps.

Edit-I meant you'll do better on AT&T's Faux G network up here than in the Bay Area though.
