The 3200mAh is only for the 01D though. There's no issue with getting the 06D into Australia (battery and all), it's just that I wanted to try and get the most out of the phone in terms of battery life.

You are probably right. I wouldn't even buy a 09D battery until I knew for sure it would fit into the 06D.

I have my current phone (Galaxy S2) on charge for most of the day whilst I'm working, so battery life (in general) is not a major concern. But if I can improve it I will!!

I read a lot of information regarding the 01D's battery life (ie, miserable) however the 06D's battery life doesn't seem to attract the same type of criticism.
