I suggest Sony xperia phones. They have this feature called "xloud" which makes any sound from the loudspeaker louder by 15-25% if enabled.

Spouse never hears her cell phone ringing because it is deep in her pocketbook.
Are there any phones with incredibly loud ringtone ability? Like, holy s****, what was that!?
She also has it on speaker phone all the time because she can't quite locate the small ear speaker. I swear I'm gonna hot glue an earbud on it so it is easier to hear without the speaker.
You mean like talk? No, no, this is a smartphone. 'Scuse me while I charge it again.

She could catch every call with no scary noise using a bluetooth watch, like this one:

Quite a while ago someone create a ringtone by recording their Panasonic handheld phone ringing. I've since been using this ringtone on all my phones for my EXTRA LOUD RINGER. You can download this ringtone from my web page at:

However, remember that no ringtone can overcome inherent volume limitations of the loudspeaker and amplifier in any given phone. This ringer will merely give you the loudest possible ringer on your hardware. Whether it's loud enough will depend heavily on that hardware.
If relevant, mp3 is much louder than qcelp.
