I am having problems with this phone and draw something. It restarts a lot when I use it and I can't draw circles smoothly. They are all jagged. I hope I don't have a defective screen. How do I enable push notifications? It says my device does not support them.
I also am wondering how I can get the dictionary enabled when I am texting. You know how it will come up with a bunch of words and you don't need to type everything out. It's not there for the Triumph. I will keep messing with it.
I played Draw Something for days and days on my Triumph and didn't have any problems. As far as push notifications go, I was able to get them all the time on Wordfeud. Why it wouldn't work for any other game/app is puzzling.
If you're looking for a great texting dictionary add-on, I highly recommend Swiftkey X. It's word prediction is amazing, and it cuts down the number of keystrokes by a bunch. Swiftkey costs a few dollars, but the money is well spent if you're a frequent texter.
Hmmm, that's strange then. I literally cannot draw a perfect circle. I draw heads a lot and they are looking all weird now. I wonder what the problem is.
Shouldn't the Triumph have a word prediction built in? I can't even add words to the dictionary like I could with my Optimus V. Both Chomp and the built in messenger don't have the option. What is going on?
they messed up the stock triumph's software and did not include a dictionary for the keyboard. I believe there are fixes, but most people just install a custom rom anyway, which is supposed to fix a lot of issues.
I installed go keyboard and that has fixed my issue with the keyboard and predictive text. My phone still restarts pretty much anytime I use draw something and once in a while it does for yahoo mail app too. I've also noticed that I don't always get notifications all the time. Seems like it's random. For instance, I had 2 yahoo emails waiting for me but my phone never alerted me. It has happened with game apps too. Does anyone have a really good, idiot proof guide to rooting this phone and turn it into the phone it was supposed to be?
Now the phone is starting to freeze up and restart at least once a day. Is this a problem with the phone that can be solved by rooting or should I look into getting a replacement since it's still under warranty?
Try getting a replacement first. That's probably due to the strain the phone's under and its a software issue. Rooting would most likely fix it but if it doesn't it'll be a hassle to get a replacement.
I searched the forums and found that a lot of people were having the same problem and the solution was to switch the wi-fi sleep policy to never. I did that and so far the phone is fine but the battery seems like it's draining more. I would rather not get a replacement if possible and download all my apps and activate the phone all over again if I don't have to. I will most likely just get a refurbished phone back anyway.
The phone came with an extra battery. My phone reset itself twice today so I am going to go ahead and get a replacement. I'm pretty sure I've done everything I can to try to fix the phone but I think it's something that needs replacing. I will hope I don't get a refurbished phone that gives me issues. I will call Virgin Mobile tomorrow to get a replacement. Do they overnight me a phone? Like will I have one Monday or Tuesday morning?
I just got off the phone with VM. They told me I needed to do a factory reset because it's an app that is causing the problem. Then they wanted me to download the apps again and see if my phone still resets. Then they will send me a replacement if I'm still having problems. I explained that if it's an app that causing the problem, it won't matter if they send me a new phone because it will just cause phone to reset too. He said if that happens, they will troubleshoot further. I told him I'd rather just eliminate the apps myself first and see if that fixes the problem since I don't want to erase everything on my phone. He must have told me that I needed to factory reset it like 10 times. He didn't seem to understand that if an app is the problem like he thinks, the problem will happen all over again. He also didn't understand that it takes hours for the phone to reset not 10 min like he kept saying.
I told him I did not want to do a factory reset and he said he wanted me to call him from another phone once I decide to factory reset the phone and to get it at 100%. I guess I will just have to figure out the problem myself. Erasing apps one by one and waiting a day will suck but I think it's better than factory resetting my phone. He told me I could do it myself and then call again if the problem persists. I guess I could just lie and told him I did it. This is lame.
Actually there is one thing. The *86 for voicemail sends you to VM tech support. The work around is just dial your number and it goes to you voice mail.
