MyWi 5.51.1 not working on iPhone 4 w/5.1.1

So I'm on 5.1.1 on my iPhone 4 cdma and i can connect and grab an IP address but no data/internet….. I have tried over bluetooth, usb and WiFi and all 3 options are acting the same way. I have tried 2 MacBooks and 3 pc's and all are doing the same thing… connecting with IP address but no internet/data slow. I can even see the data upload & download values change when the pc's connect to the iPhone but NOTHING internet wise…
Yet my other iPhone 4S on AT$T seems to tether just fine under all 3 options … it also has 5.1.1 and mywi 5.51.1
And yes i have removed the mywi, re-installed it, power cycled the phone down many times after a un-install and re-install and nothing… I don't know what else to do here….

tether me seemed to work just fine... pdanet does not support bluetooth tethering so that i didnt need.... but thanx for the suggestion... next question is why does it work with one iphone and not another and both have the same version ios and same version of mywi ......

Many have reported the same problems on the modmyi forums, some say it's specific to just the iPhone 4 and requires the authors to update it for a fix, while others say to reset settings to default fixed it for them.

yea i tried to do the reset settings to default and no go.... so i gave up
