Can I use my Irresistible $35 plan in a Data stick?

    As the title says.
    I have the $35 unlimited voice/data plan.

May I stick my sim in a E366 data stick, for example, and use it for data?

    Thanks!

Yes. Just set the correct apn. It's not officially support... That is, don't try to call them asking for instructions. But you can use the data sim in a phone and a phone sim in a data stick.

    awesome thanks!
    I have a macbook pro.
So when I insert the stick, will it recognize it okay and then I will get a popup where I can enter the APN?
    Was it: internet.wind.ca??
    Just going off some memory.

That's great news though. That saves me some hassle.
Is there a SMS program I can use on the computer and my Wind data stick so I can SMS from the computer linked to my number on the SIM card??
I guess this is a stretch. But even better if possible!

Use the software that came with the stick. You can receive and text from it. Look at the sticky thread for apn settings.

You can use a smartphone with wifi spot. That will provide wifi to your laptop or netbook or tablet anyway. Straight forward

Why don't you use Bluetooth tethering? Save yourself the hassle of moving your sim between phone and data stick. If you need help setting it up, let me know. I spent half hour figuring out the settings because my internet service provider was down.

The APN should be broadband.windmobile.ca if I'm not mistaken.

Wait! No, that is for using an internet plan with a phone. It's internet.windmobile.ca for the way you want to use it.
