    My friend got Virgin Mobile today, His phone was getting 1.71 download in a area that Sprint has been working on!

    1.71 is actually quite good for EVDO, as long as that was Mbps, as it maxes out ~3.1Mbps in ideal conditions.

    and to be honest, if anyone can get a solid 1Mbps, then 99.9% of what any user would want to do works fine with that.

    Not really improved coverage. Not until they turn 800 SMR on. Just moving the radios up behind the panels did NOTHING to improve coverage. I still get crap coverage 3-5 miles from the towers in my town. They led us to believe that coverage would improve by moving the radios, but no

    They don't. Sprint's new Network Vision covers a much smaller area of the country, offering coverage only in a very thin strip along interstate highways and the major metropolitan areas. And if you're between Minnesota and Seattle anywhere in the northern part of the country, you're pretty much at the mercy of roaming.

    Smaller as compared to what? Additionally, since network vision hasn't been officially launched yet and isn't expected to be completed until 2014, how can you say what it will or will not cover?
