Does updating a Japanese smartphone overwrite pre-installed themes?

    Hi everyone

I've been thinking about buying a Japanese smartphone for quite a while now and I've narrowed it down to the F-03D and the F-08D (not quite sure which one I want more, but I'll get there).

Now, I've been wondering about something and it might sound like a stupid question to you, but I've never used an Android smartphone before. If I had, let's say, the Disney F-08D with all the pre-installed Disney themes and wanted to update from Android 2.35 Gingerbread to a higher OS, would that overwrite them? Or would it just update and keep everything as it is?

    Thanks in advance

It really depends on if they decide to include those themes in the next OS upgrade, which they probably would since that is what differentiates the phone.
