Everyone knows exactly how to save Nokia. SADLY its through the U.S. market and even more so through Apps. Since Apple has cornered the market by using its immense technology to support applications through their phones and other computing products, Nokia should just follow suit like Android and do the same, but instead of creating apps for the sake of applications, make more useful apps that have a widespread capability. In other words, provide the technology to create apps that people here in the states would prefer, or are already in existence. I used to own a Samsung Galaxy SII and checked out some of the apps that they used. The difference between those apps and the ones on my Nokia N8 were the fact that the apps on my N8 seemed to be clearly marketed towards European customers. It is not to say developers can't continue to make those apps, because they can. But when I compared my android to my sister's iphone, I saw that she virtually had the SAME apps that I had on the Samsung Android based phone. There is something to be said about that. I'm sure Nokia knows this. I actually very much enjoy the Windows phone platform and hope Nokia sticks with it, as it will become a viable 3rd platform option (as long as its done the right way). But they need to focus more on applications and get those apps to be more U.S. friendly or focused. The issue with Symbian was the same and it sadly died because of its stubborn defiance to the app-crazy iPhone and Android platforms. If more of us Nokia fans make noise about this, our beloved cell phone company just might respond the right way.

It is true that Nokia had been the top mobile phone providers in the world. But in the recent years, the tough competition from technology driven mobile brands have increased, making it difficult for Nokia to survive. The only way for Nokia to get back the top position of the market would be to sell phones offering innovative features. You can say almost in the line of smart phones.
Nokia has drastically avoided its battery aspect that used to be the highlight of most of the phones. Nowadays, it is very much concentrating on the software an d hardware factors’

A fast quad-core i86 WP SoC will make a huge difference for Nokia -- and MS. And if the rest of the hardware rivals Android handsets, like the SGSIII for example, in display size and resolution -- and if Nokia can *ever* put in 2GB of RAM -- that'll be 'do over' time for Nokia, back in the game.
Learning Android root on my SGSIII while waiting for Ubuntu Phone OS.
