    Activating a blacklisted 4G phone

Is this possible? Since these handsets work with SIM cards, if your phone is lost/stolen may still be used by just inserting an active SIM card?

No, won't work. They also blacklist the IMSI or whatever identifies the actual device.

I've never had a problem. Purchased a galaxy nexus with a bad esn off eBay. Put my sim card in and it worked fine.

I guess you will have to try it and find out who's right. I've done it on a galaxy nexus and a droid charge. Both worked. Keep in mind that my 4g sim card was already activated. I just put my chip in.

It's pretty easy for someone to not block it correctly but it's absolutely available to Verizon.

When you go into the website, My Verizon, what device does it show you have? The Galaxy Nexus even with the "bad" IMEI number?
