    Odd battery issue

I use the AT&T version of the Galaxy SII.

Perfect until about two weeks ago.. Now I have to put my phone in airplane mode before I go to sleep or it will be dead when I get up in the morning. That is - 100% charge to Dead "wont even turn on" 6.5-7 hrs later. I can leave the same phone on the same nightstand all day long from 7 AM - Midnight and it drain maybe 10-20% battery..but from Midnight-7 AM it drains 100% battery.

No apps running, display is off the whole time as phone is idle, email set to the same hour interval it is during the day, No apps can auto-update, and again this just started happening like 2 weeks ago, no new apps or anything though some were updated, and turning on airplane mode (not just turning off wifi or anything individually) is the only fix I know.

    Ideas?
My opinions are my own and do not reflect the opinions of my employer AT&T.

It might not a battery issue. You can try re-intalle the ROM or Restore to factory settings. Hope it helps

There are bAttery managers, some are built-in, some are apps that have those time settings. Check those out. Uninstall app if necessary.

If you have to put it in airplane mode, then the battery usage is coming from it looking for either a signal or going online for something. This is probably caused by a new(ish) app on your phone. Look at the battery usage under settings and it should tell you what is causing it. When I had a similar issue, my phone got warm around the camera area on the back and the battery useage said that it was the OS using the most power. I did a factory restore and it stopped.

Another issue it may be is that if you have alot of apps on your SD card. I have had mine reboot fairly often due to this. You may try one night to just remove your sd card and see what happens. This admittedly would block a bad app from working also.

That's very strange, I've never heard that before. There's probably some app hogging your battery, look to see all that is using your battery the most. To help conserve, try turning your phone on a lower display brightness. Download an app called "Easy battery saver" and set it to Intelligent mode. This helps to conserve the battery without disabling any of the phone's feature. If worst comes to worst, try conditioning your battery (If you have already, condition again)
A number of possibilities came to me when I read this problem, so just try these tips I offered. Hope I helped.(:
