So I've been with Sprint forever (well, since '99) but am contemplating leaving. One of the things I've enjoyed with Sprint is how they integrate your phone number with google voice. Because of this, my mobile number is my google voice number - both are essentially interchangeable.
So my question is, what happens if I port my number to another carrier? Does my google voice account just dissolve? Thanks for any info,
As far as I understand, your GV number should remain the same since it a separate service. You can disable Google Voice Integration, which I believe just turns off call forwarding. If you Sprint number is still attached and enabled, you will continue to receive calls, but your outgoing calls will display your Sprint number.
