    Sprint Family Plan - removing 1 line

    Hey everyone,

    Been lurking and reading here for quite a while, finally signed up.

    I have a question I figure the folks here will be able to answer. My wife and I are on a Sprint family plan that breaks down like this

    (her phone)
    $110
    $10 data add on

    (my phone)
    $20 (second line)
    $10 data add on

    The contract for my line is up at the end of July (she likes Sprint - just renewed hers). I am thinking of trying out some of the pre-paid providers when the time comes. My question is, if I move my line to another carrier will she be able to downgrade to an individual plan (the 450 minute unlimited data will be fine for her). I figure that would put the monthly charge for her line at around $80 (before taxes, etc), dropping our Sprint bill by about $70/month. This would be the number I have in mind when trying to decide whether or not to switch.

    Sorry if this is confusing, and thanks for any help or advice.

    I'm about a month late to responding but better late than never ....

    Your situation is exactly what I had, and yes, you can do that. They will have to switch her phone to an indivitual plan. It was quick and easy to have them do it.

    I did switch mine to the 450 plan, plus with having the protection plan, and after the taxes from Louisiana, I pay a total of $95.23 a month.

    Once the second line is deactivated they will automatically make it a individual plan, at least that's what they told me....

    Better to call in and be sure, esp if you wish to decide which individual plan they put you on. I actually received 300 bonus minutes on my remaining line when I called in to be sure they downgraded my plan to a single line.

    Wasn't the case for me.

    So to be safe its best to call like Sam said.
