I currently have a Touch Pro 2 with WinMo 6.5 and a custom ROM. Of course, I'm not "up-to-date" but I really love my phone, if not that it is a little sluggish at time and that, of course, I cannot use to most recent apps and features even though I can do everything I want.
A year or so ago, HTC has come up with an upgraded version of the TP2, the TP7/Arrive, with WinMo 7. However, it is not available in Canada (to my knowledge) and I'm pretty sure it won't be. It is available in the States, from Sprint among others.
I'd be willing to get a TP7 because:
- I really want a phone with a physical keyboard
- I'd like to try WinMo 7
- I don't necessarily want/need the latest phone model with the biggest screen/storage/processor...
So, would it be possible to buy a used or new TP7 and use it with Telus?
Thx!

I haven't seen the TP 2 mentioned is so long now! That was a nice piece of hardware!
I didn't know that they have an updated TP2. This is what I'm using currently but I will be getting an Android phone this time mainly because I use a lot of Google apps and I have an Android tablet. Anyhow, who knows I might go back to WinMo after my next 3-year contract. With the resurgence of Windows 8 and the new tablets (e.g. Surface), Microsoft can potentially be the dominant mobile OS in 3 years or less.
Renewed contract June, 2012:
Telus Student 50 - 2 Lines: $50 +tax - 500 anytime, eve/wknds @ 5PM, CID, VM25, 5GB data, unlmtd text, FAV10 nationwide

(It's no longer called a "Touch Pro", but rather the "7 Pro", or the Arrive)
I just read on HTC website that the 7 Pro should work on Telus website... Anyway, I just wrote to them, will see what's going on with this phone or its potential replacement.
based on what they have on the site, yes it will work with all of our carriers except the new guys (wind and mobilicity)

just make sure it isnt a CDMA version as someone said above. i took a quick look on ebay, doesnt seem to be too many of them. so good luck. i dont know if htc sells directly to customers but i would think this model is no longer being made
