    tethering on samsung galaxy3s

    Hi
I currently have a htc desire which after the last android update I can uses as a wifi hot spot with out paying for tethering, the app was installed with the update. I would like to upgrade to the samsung galaxy 3s and I dont want to pay for tethering. is there any way to do this without rooting?
    Thanks Chris

Technically you were supposed to pay for a hot spot plan on the desire. I think it's BS, but that is what it is. Have not heard if the same feature is built into the SIII. if so you will need to pay for the plan or risk potentially being caught.

Hotspot tethering is a feature of Android, it's just most providers block it unless you pay for it. If I had to guess I'd say it will be available out of the box, and they won't notice as long as you don't go overboard.

Just install FoxFi from the Amazon marketplace. Free tethering, no root required. enjoy!

The Aviator has it blocked. I would imagine USCC has seen a lot of people using tethering a lot lately so they started blocking it like other providers to protect their margins.
