Oops made a booboo - restored jailbroken ipad 1

Restored a jailbroken iPad one since I didn't realize it was jailbroken...

Boots up and I see the two multicolored lines... I'm screwed.

    LOL

    Any suggestions?

It does not turn on at all now...

Tried booting from Redsn0w with a custom firmware.. got stuck at the "pineapple" screen.... Ipad just sits at red battery forever... realized it doesn't charge through USB and plugged it into the wall.. right back to just sitting at the apple logo with the two colorful lines. lol

Okay if anyone stumbles upon this by google searching here's what I did

Used red snow to select custom IPSW
    Selected 5.0 official apple IPSW
used "just boot" option in red snow extras
Should get stuck on the pineapple
Reboot it using homekey + power
In redsn0w set to POWER DFU MODE
I then restored it in POWER DFU mode using the standard Apple Restore feature in iTunes

    NO LONGER JAILBROKE

But it's a working iPad now. YAY

Most people who jb know about dfu. The only ones who don't seem to know are newbies who don't research.

I for one am glad to see this posted, If I powered on my iPad and found it stuck with multicolored lines, I'd chalk it up to a hardware failure! (though I'd probably try to restore anyway because I'm a stubborn sonofa...) Good info to file away, thanks OP!

How do you not know about dfu?
Almost all the tutorials for jb involve dfu, at one point or another.
So how does a jb user not know about dfu?

I never said I dint know about it, but I rarely use it unless I absolutely have to because it's a pain in the tail to get into.

I was also being positive towards a member who was trying to be helpful and post the solution to his problem.

If you use pwnage or redsnow to put your phone in dfu, it's almost as easy as eating pie.
I'm still not sure how the OP's post is helpful. People who jb should already know about dfu. If they don't, they shouldn't be using jb if they're that dim.

Imagine this - a user buys an ipad 1, jailbreaks it, then sells it when he upgrades to an ipad 3 and doesn't tell the person he sold it to it was jailbroken.

It wasn't even mine I thought I explained this in my first post...

That's a bad seller if they don't tell you it's jb. A good seller would've either wiped it (to take out any personal info) or asked if you wanted the jb.
Your first post didn't say anything about the ipad being bought from a bad seller, so it's natural to think that you jb your ipad.
