    Porting Number on Active line?

I am thinking of doing a TOR and acquiring a new line from my friend. Of course it would have my friend's number on it. Would Rogers allow me to port my WIND number onto it and replace my friend's? The line is already within a contract and a little over a year has passed on a 3 year term.

Yes absolutely. Port-ins will never be a problem. Go for it! The only thing you ever have to worry about is any ECF fees incurred on the line associated with the number you're porting *out*, and since you say it's a Wind number, there won't be an ECF.

I have to ask though, as a HoFoer, what on Earth possesses you to go with Rogers at this stage? It must be a really sweet plan!

The Rogers plan is actually for my brother. He is on WIND and the service is not cutting it for him. He has an all unlimited plan for $40 but he would rather have a plan which ACTUALLY WORKS with lesser features By the way, is there any fee for porting number on an existing Rogers line?

No fee. They may have to run a credit check.

There will be one for the TOR, though.
