If the sim card is unlocked it should work if it's not unlocked then U have to either call up AT&T and request to have your sim unlocked or buy another sim and tell them to transfer your account onto the new the sim. Then put it in your new phone

I'm thinking about buying an unlocked LG Optimus ME P350 off e-Bay. If I take the sim from my go-phone and stick it in the LG, everything should work right? I just want to make double sure before I take the plunge.

You must make sure that the model you are considering hasto insure that you have 3G capability on the AT&T Mobility network. This might be shown as "WCDMA," "3G" or "UMTS" in the specifications. Voice and SMS should work without modifications but you will have to edit the APN settings to get data and MMS to work.HSDPA 850 / 1900

Ok. Now here is where I get all confused...due to all the grey hair. How do I edit the APN settings? (I was not going to buy a data pkg, just use WiFi)
If you are not planning to use multimedia messages or data, the rest of the functions should work out of the box. Although you do not plan to use data, if the phone is not recognized as a smartphone, data will work on a pay-per-use basis. So if the APN settings are correct, that is the risk you take. If the phone is recognized as a smartphone, data access will be disabled without the purchase of data packages.
