    Yuck, $37 x 4 charges from VM

Looked on my credit card account today and found that on the 9th, the day I switched over the phone, I was charged $37 for the new month on the new phone. Then on the 10th I was charged the same amount again.. and twice over on the 11th.

The real kicker was I called VM and they only have the record of one transaction, soo I ended up calling the bank and putting in a dispute for the other 3. I am now expecting that to screw up in a way that can only start with my phone going offline requiring me to call VM again and tell them what idiots they are. ^^

Good luck to you! This kind of problem is exactly why I manually top up my account each month, instead of allowing the autopay option. I've been with Virgin Mobile a long time, and have heard too many tales of this sort... one of the things they really, REALLY need to fix.

I am a new VM customer and I went to activate service on my new Evo via debit card. The transaction showed up but the VM website said my payment method was invalid. Upon calling VM, a tech told me their system has been having issues processing debit cards the past few days and in order to get my service going, I had to get a top up card for my account. It was 11 at night. Can you say thank god for Wal-Mart online?

Contact them via Twitter or FB for quick response to that issue.
The incompetent csr that failed you, will be listed on your account call history.
Anytime you call VM, or any company's CS department, and they fail to resolve your issue, just hang up and call again. Most CSR's are efficient and well trained, however you seem to have connected with a bad one.

The bank card issue you seem to be experiencing is easy to resolve.

Your bank can track and dispute your individual transactions and can go as far as providing you the IP address where the transaction was originated from in case there are other factors at play.

If they debited 3 transactions you should have those amounts in your Virgin Mobile Account Funds.

Check your Restart Date to see what it indicates by logging onto your account.

Also check your account history to see ALL previous transactions.
Check if the bank card debits were credited to your account.

Operating without a contract makes you far more valuable.

the exact same thing happened to me. i disputed 3 of the charges with my credit card company and they wrote them off. something majorly wrong with VM recently. i have used their service since 2003 and only now i'm seeing a bunch of problems. maybe they are getting too ambitious and moving too fast with product launches without ensuring they can provide the same level of service

It may be a better option to buy PINs via a cheaper re seller vs giving VM your personal credit information.

I plan on buying Top Up cards from Walmart online from now on. It's $51 for $50 in service (processing fee).

And this is why it's a very, very, very bad idea to take advantage of the "we bill your credit card and you pay $5 less" option on the (already) absurdly expensive iPhone: You'll suddenly be another $120 in the hole.

Although, heck, if nothing else bad happens you could theoretically pay for these problems in 3 years and 1 month.

You knows what's funny and sad, if I had your credit card info and you only authorized me to use it once for say $25 and without you knowing I use it four or five different times for $25 each time I would have a criminal record for fraud or whatever else, I don't get why it should be different for bigger companies.

Because when you commit fraud you don't have a giant contract that promises, among other things, you cannot be sued or taken to court.

    don't auto pay anything
it's better for you to push the money , then let them pull it on their own

If they are going to offer that $30 iPhone plan they had better have "the system" set up correctly as to minimize billing errors.

Why is it better? I have enough bills I need to worry about paying manually, id rather not worry about remembering to purchase top up cards every month.

keep in mind it took just 2 phone calls (and unlike VM, the credit card guy was absurdly happy to help me) to get everything fixed and it was an error that only popped up during a plan change.
