How would a Verizon 4G phone work on PPC?

Hi. I'm still looking for a smartphone to replace this LG EnV3 on my PPC account since I lost my Droid 1 last week, and as I'm scouring E-Bay, I'm finding used 4G phones that uses Verizon's network being sold at a not too bad of a price. My question is if I decide to bid or buy one of these phones or even one from Craigslist or something, how would they work in the Page Plus network? Is there a special process involved to get those phones working when it needs to be activated by PPC? I'd like to get help on this please. Thank you very much

Hi! Verizon 4G phones won't work on PPC without some manual programming that takes a bit of technical knowledge and some patience. They won't work with PPC without this "flashing". I would start by reading the posts on activating the Bionic on this forum and see if that is even something you want to get into. Also you could look to a 3rd party to flash the phone for you but they would charge around $50 for a 4g LTE flash, so that drives up your price for the phone now.
Why not go with one of the phones that everyone has recommend to you that are not 4G?

ah, ok....I'm thinking of getting a Samsung Stratosphere on E-Bay, that's why. Motorola Droid 3 is also something im considering too....x2 and Incredible 2 are the only 3G non keyboard phones I'm looking at.

A Stratosphere will not work work on Page Plus. Neither will a Samsung Charge. They have a chipset that is not flashable to Page Plus at the moment.

Sorry, that is wrong. I know several people with ICS ROMs on their phones successfully using PPC. If you're talking specifically about 4G phones, I don't think that is correct, either, based on several posts in this forum.

The Droid Bionic works on PP with text, data, MMS, and voice although (as mentioned above) it does take some tinkering with CDMA Workshop or QPST. I also believe someone has the Razr working with at least voice, data, text (not sure about MMS). Don't know about a Droid 4 but it's pretty much the same. See post #11 in the I Got The Bionic Working thread for starters.

My experience has been on 905 / Gingerbread, not ICS. Don't know about that at all.

point me in the right direction if you know of a work around to enable 3g on ppc with a sim carded verizon LTE droid razr phone that has the ota ics 404 update.
the company that was doing the work around for lte on gb has no solution at this time for ics.
i personally have flashed using cdmaws on gb lte phones with no problem. doesn't work on ics ota update

    thank you
