GV texting and iPhone iMessage texting

Hi all,

I'm currently looking into switching my cell service and porting my current cell number to GV and I'm getting a little stumped on the texting thing. Is there any integration between GV and the iPhone native texting application? If not, how are you guys that currently use GV on an iPhone dealing with iMessage texting vs. normal text streams? Obviously I realize I can use the GV app for all MMS texts and the iPhone Message app just for iMessages, but it seems a little cumbersome to have to deal with two text applications, as well as knowing who can receive iMessage texts.

Actually, Google Voice doesn't support MMS at all.

Hey tx,

I dealt with this same issue by just turning iMessage off and using the GV app exclusively, that way you don't have to try and figure out who has what and you're sending free SMS text messages. As another poster mentioned, since GV doesn't support sending MMS text messages, if I need to send a photo to someone I simply attach it to an email.
