    Can outside phones be activated with this network

    I have several old flips that i was hoping could be used along with the free 250/250 plan. Its for my grandmother.

    Is it possible to do this?

    No, you can only use certain Virgin Mobile phones. But VM issues you the phone for free so why would want to use an old flip. You don't save anything.

    Have you looked into Safelink? That is Tracfone's version of Asssurance Wireless.
