Internet Issues on Go Phone....

I recently switched from an AT&T contract to GoPhone. I'm using my HTC Inspire that I had when I had the contract and everything is working fine except the internet. I can't access email, facebook, weather or anything else. I did some reading on the internet and some things I found said I needed to add a new APN, which I did, but it didn't work. Anyone have any suggestions other than calling at&t tech support? Please and thanks

Do you have a data plan? Not talking about the plan for feature phones.

I didn't know I had to until about a half hour ago. I got the APN to work by shutting my phone down and turning it back on and when I went on the internet it took me to an at&t site that told me I also have to purchase a separate data plan because I have a smartphone. Anything to get more money I guess

The APN is different on prepaid than postpaid. Glad you solved the issue, but it is not merely a way to get more money (although they DO want to maximize profit at all cost).
