Perhaps the port didn't complete properly in the back end. Call the Telus porting department or tech support and ask them to open a ticket

Hello all,
My mom is a new Telus customer on an Iphone 4 she transfered from Virgin mobile and ported her cell phone number now here is my situation about one in every five calls we make to the handset get a busy signal doesnt even route to her voicemail just a busy signal. I have reset the device and everything else dont know what the problem can be It even happens while the phone is off also Any advice will be greatly appreciated thankyou !

It's likely a case of problem translation tables with the originating carrier. Probably still routing the calls to Virgin and not to Telus.
The carrier will need to update the translation tables (the number you're calling FROM).
Telus will probably tell you the samething.
I notice problem doesnt happen On my MTS cell phone but it happens on my Shaw home phone i have called telus and waiting for them to investigate the problem
