Wow, family members gnex still on 4.0.2?!

I sold my girlfriends little sister on the galaxy nexus a while back. Tried doing a Google + hangout with her while we were at dinner only to realize her phone is still stuck on 4.0.2.

I guess Samsung is in no frigging hurry to support one of their flagship handsets. Guess I'll be hacking it for her tomorrow and do their job for them.

I think it depends which carrier the phones from. Not every carriers version is up to date unfortunately so not really Samsungs fault in this case.

I was on 4.0.1 till my phone sropped and broke like two weeks ago.
However i do not suggest you update anything as there is an issue with dropped connection with 4.0.4 and no one could really tell me the difference between the two anyways.

    Definition:
hack, Computers . to break into (a server, Web site, etc.) from a remote location to steal or damage data: Students are constantly trying to hack into their school server to change their grades.

Since the phone is designed with the explicit purpose of giving you access to do what you are intending to do, by definition, what you are intending to do is NOT hacking. Not even REMOTELY.

People abuse the term "hack" on a daily basis. It isn't even funny anymore and more pathetic if anything. "I just hacked my iPod", "what do you mean, you jailbroke it?", "yeah"..

Hack can have many meanings, just check the dictionary.

I LOVE using hack! I sometimes just hack around all day. And sometimes I just can't hack it no more and have to get out! I also love using hacked programs (nothing to do with servers and networks) to see if the program is right for me. In reality, even if it it's right, I'm reluctant to buy it! :P And to end it, I love hacking into my streak when I'm at the Keg!

Ok, allow me to modify my vernacular: Wind Mobile and Samsung are a bunch of hacks.

This is not wind's problem, this is actually samsung canada at fault. For whatever reason, any units made for canada ship with a specific build which is NOT maintained by google. There used to be an app called GN official update checker but it was pulled from the market for some reason, youll have to find the apk on google if you want it.

Just save yourself the trouble and google for 'flash to yakju' and there are all kinds of simple guides, it is about a 20-30 min process if you've never done it before.
