T-Mobile is playing smart. Makes me think they played AT&T for the fools that they are.

Coverage will expand to 100 million LTE pops for the first half of 2013, with the second half of 2013 expanding to 200 million POPs covered. Release 10 LTE (2×10, 2×20) will be better performing than all other competitors.

Considering AT&T might have a similar deal for Lower 700 B and C from Verizon lined up soon?

Only way AT&T is played for fools is if T-Mobile senior management wakes up and makes a grab for 700. I just don't see that. Sad because 700 would really help out T-Mobile in the coverage department.

Fiber backhaul for Verizon in Southern Illinois in 2013 - about time.

But 700 from where? T-Mobile allowed Qualcomm, AT&T, and Verizon to buy the 700Mhz spectrum, that was being sold. Only way, is if someone else has 700MHz and T-Mobile offers them a price.

Wouldn't the lower 700MHz spectrum that AT&T has, be better for reception, compared to Verizon's upper 700 "750" band?

Particularly since backhaul upgrade is a necessary prerequisite for either LTE or WCDMA upgrades.

Nationally AT&T will work better because of the vast amount of HSPA+.

Im in a very populated part of Houston and while other people are getting slow speeds i am getting great speeds.

Yes, they have 0% LTE deployment and 0% LTE coverage. Wow! That's fast!

Even lowly MetroPCS has more LTE coverage than T-mobile does!

Lol because their coverage area is maybe 7 cities? And they made it their goal T-mobile wasn't forced to LTE like sprint verizon and metro because their network can be upgraded and isn't at its limits capacity wise.

No expert here but it seems Tmo has advantages over Sprint even w/o LTE.

Yeah there was a screen shot of their LTE speeds in Atlanta an it matched DC-HSPA speeds. I was really surprised.

Actually Sprint and CDMA carriers could have easily upgraded to EVDO Rev. B which is the speed equivalent of HSPA+

Metros LTE is nothing to brag about at most your looking at 3 to 6mbps down on a good day. LTE doesn't automatically equal fast data speeds or consistency it's how it's set up.

Tmo data speeds are pretty impressive. My friends phone consistently gets 17+ down almost all the time. I couldn't say the same for my iPhone.
