iPad 3G performance on T-Mobile USA?

I have a 3G iPad and T-Mobile's $2/day unlimited plan looks enticing (I'm only off wifi a couple times a month but when I am I need unlimited data), I was wondering what kind of performance people got with it...?

Not possible. The pay as you go plans are for phones only, not tablets(requires tethering from phone). Even with the iPad or iPhone, 2G Edge is the best you get on any plan in most areas(the radio doesn't have the 1700MHz for Tmo 3G/4G support), but in select areas they are rolling out 1900MHz 3G on Tmo. Even then the $2/day(starts @12am to 11:59pm) is limited to just 2G Edge. Prepaid directly through the iPad would require the weekly or monthly data allotment pass to work on the iPad.

    SONOVA-

I Really wish these reps wouldn't lie like this... I tried to talk to a rep and she implied that the plan was fully compatible (though she never specifically named "Plan X") and pressured me to pay the $8 for a SIM...

2G is all I was expecting, T-Mo only has 2G in my area, as much as I like 3G I'm not dependent on it those couple days a month.

It frustrates me that everyone wants you to pay for a monthly plan when I need it less than a week per month...

Is there anyone out there that offers a plan like this that *IS* compatible with the iPad? I dont care if it's $5/day, I just rarely need it and would like to have it available when I do...

What services do you require to function? Just web browsing? The pay as you go plan might just let you use the modded Opera Mini(requires jailbreak) on the iPad, that functions over their captive pay portal. Would only require to keep the account active like $10 every 3 months or $10 every 12 months if you are a gold rewards member.

Actually I was hoping for email, but all my accounts have IMAP access, so if web only works, I can always log in through the mobile web portal. I'll try it out when my SIM arrives, thanks!

T-mobile Micro Sim designed to fin in iPad 3G. I have T mobile sim in my old iPhone 3GS. We do not need to use adapter. Just simply disconnect inner micro sim for the use in iPad 3G and place back into full sim for use in latest data device.

I cut my sim to fit my iPad 3G and it works, although obviously EDGE only. The $30 plan should work fine because the imei of iPads aren't in their database because they are AT&T devices.

How do you explain the support link above about an iPad not working with a phone prepaid plan? They said it makes a connection to the service, but no data flow...

In countries other than the US, mobile carriers including Tmobile allow tablets to be used with any plan that includes data.
