It stands to reason that as soon as they have enough stock for upgrades, that those that preregistered will be the first people to be able to purchase one.

I just can't believe the complaining about this (not aimed at you SharpieFiend, just speaking generally here). If you're looking to upgrade, then you're already a customer and have a phone already. It's not like you're doing without in any way.
If you're in that much of a hurry, that you absolutely MUST have the phone when it first comes out, then you aren't buying a phone, you're buying a status symbol.
    First world problems... Geez....
Why is it wrong to want to be one of the first to have the shiny new toy?

To be told I have to wait a month (if true) and the 'exclusive' deal is a $25 discount (if true, but I doubt it) feels to me like a steel toed kick to the crotch.

Exaggerated a little? That kinda of kick can actually kill you.

It's his opinion, and metaphor. Not a literal interpretation of how he actually felt and received the news of WIND not fulfilling existing customer's pre-orders.

You'd think you would remember things such as "similes" from your English/Literature studies in High School. If you don't know, Google it.

If she keeps doing it you'll find it pretty hard to get turned on when you get older .

Anyhow, I'm surprised you people didn't see this coming. I've always had trouble getting new release phones from Wind and Mobilicity without activating a new line, and I've purchased lots of new phones in the last couple years. The stores don't want to give you a Galaxy S3 when you already have a line. What if someone else comes in looking to pick up the phone and port in from a major carrier, but they don't have one for them? It's ******, but it has been this way for quite some time.

Your best bet is to just activate the cheapest possible line and then take your sim card from your old phone and insert.

TouchWiz isn't all that bad. Gizmodo did a comparison of the major skins and it introduced some neat features, like you can call a contact just by selecting their name and holding the phone up to your face. That's something I regularly trip up on with my Lumia.
The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband. The reason Wind and Mobilicity users like pentaband phones is because the reverse is true. We're not the only ones who like pentaband phones though, so please stop referring to phones that work on Wind and Mobilicity as pentaband. It causes unnecessary cofusion.

That depended on how she helped him recover.

Thanks, but that doesn't help those of us loyal customers who want to buy it outright.

So you can buy it online now, has anyone tried this method? It might be an easier route than calling and driving to locations to get rejected at the store. And it looks like there is no tab or account needed when purchasing it, at $649.00 out right.

If I was interested and suffering from similar disappointment, I'd be pursuing this route.

Chances are if you buy it online, shipping time week probably be about 4 weeks....

Don't want to come off sounding like an *** at all, but what are you basing the 4 weeks on? Is that the general consensus?

I just bought it online. Estimated shipment: July 2nd.

Then I call Wind to confirm the order and they tell me...
    They can't find my order.
Yet my credit card has been charged $649.99+tax and Wind sent me a confirmation email with my order number. Their response? We're creating a ticket and "back office" will call you in 3-5 business days. I've almost had it with this joke company.

You ordered it today and the charge is already showing on your credit card? That's pretty quick.
