    Buying unlocked HTC One V

After looking around at phones I'm wanting to buy an unlocked HTC One V and use with my current Virgin account. What version of the phone (settings) should I be shopping for that will work on Virgin Canada or is it not possible?
    Thanks

    Hey Grimes!

The device would have to be an HSPA compatible device, though we're still not 100% able to guarantee all services will work. You can check out all the deets on it at the link below. Cool?

The Telus/Koodo version will work, it just must be unlocked, and apn settings must be adjusted for data to work.

Both versions will work. If you are traveling outside US/CAN though, I highly recommend the Int'l version because it supports 3G on both side of the pond as opposed to the Koodo version's lack of 3G on band 1.

Hey, I literally just made an account because this is very much of interest to me.

I am new to Canada and am in need of a new phone and plane, I have found the plan that I want (Virgins new $25 pre-paid plan) and I have found the phone that I want HTC One V. Now I know Koodo, Telus, and Bell sell the phone, then I would need to unlock it to work with Virgin, but this is the first time in my research I've heard of 'Int'l' version of the phone, it interested me because I travel to the states a lot.

Where would one recomend by an 'Int'l' version of the phone? I am curious as to what this is too.

Thanks a lot for any assistance!

    Just an update,

I bought an HTC One V from Best Buy (Koodo), unlocked it online, then walked across the mall and hooked it up with Virgin.

I entered my SIM, registered online, and in 2 hours it was working fine. Put in my APN settings and I have Data no problem at all too.

    Everything is working great

Just thought I'd let you all know it works aces.

Thanks for the replies and info everyone. I ended up doing the Koodo thing, pretty much exactly like coLdoubt did. Works like a charm
