Hi, just wondering if anyone has had success using magicjack with wireless high speed? It's been spotty where I am (Anola) , and a lot seems to depend on when the calls are placed. (ie: during peak times like late afternoon/early evening calls seem to be particularly dismal because the cell tower is handling a lot of traffic) Sometimes call quality is ok, but most times the called party experiences dropouts and delays. I've also learned that any computer use whatsoever during a call renders the call useless. I'm starting to think that dumping the landline for this may not be such a good idea. Has anyone had success using this as their main method of phoning? If anyone has any tips to improve things, please pass them along. (though i think that it's going to be spotty at times no matter what) Thanks in advance!

MagicJack was awful in my experience. I used it for a year on my home internet connection. Callers would regularly complain that they couldn't hear me. I was told it could have been a problem with the upload rate, but my connection was 1MBps up. On paper MagicJack is great, but it wasn't worth the hassle to me. I would imagine that the quality would be even worse over the cell network.
I use Nettalk for my home phone.
Have had zero issues in 11 months. Have a winnipeg number.
I use the nettalk android app, before the update 2 months ago, i would get terrible lag and choppy reception. Works well now.
