hello,
I called the alltel customer service number yesterday to check up on a "service tag" they had put out because our service has been very crappy. When the agent answered, i told her why i was calling, and usually they ask me to verify my name, the account holder's name (my husband), our billing address and the last 4 digits of his SS#. This agent didn't do that, she just started talking to me (and of course she gave me the same answer i've always gotten with alltel, "i don't know anything and you just have to wait longer"). Aren't the agents required to ask you to verify all this information before they even speak with you about the account? My husband and i are beyond fed up with the whole run around they are giving us.
Thanks
I thought Verizon purchased alltel?
I'm caught in a trap. I can't walk out!
They did buy alltel except for areas where absorbing alltel would have made them too strong. Those areas had to stay for sale and is now owned by a company that is now dba " alltel "
Was the second call actually account specific or an inquiry about AllTel service in general?
Earl F. Parrish
It was account specific. I was checking the status ion the service tag they had attached to out account.
I would expect that everyone at your location had the service problem. Just because you reported it does not make it your exclusive issue.
