Ummm... "Wifi Web Acess- Unlimited". Why wouldn't it be? -_-
Agree, why wouldn't wifi access be unlimited provided it's your home access or free wifi access such as in starbucks, mc donald's, etc.
IS there BIS?????
Can you get email or is that via wifi only???

They are unloading the BB devices on Boost. In case anyone didn't know BB is going to stop offering devices to end users and are going to go exclusive to corporations only.
Basically these devices are bypassing the BB servers and only getting access to BBM through it. The load is significantly less and thus Boost is able to offer the cheaper rate plan. They did the same thing with the Innuendo and the Env Touch too. Everything included but data.
For a lot of users that's a plus. They are looking at the bottom line and do not need the data really. Most HoFo users use their phone to the max and a phone without data is just unacceptable! I do not want a phone without data no matter how fancy it looks.
Good luck Boost.
The funny thing is BB had a really good opportunity to embrace the Prepaid market before all the android phones started showing up. Had they taken the lead in prepaid, they might not be in such bad shape now. As android security improves, BB will lose in the corporate space as well.
Blackberry had a tough decision to make. You see their original "fan base" was the corporate customers. The owner of the BB sent a message to the world that their phone was not just a phone and a lol tool. It was to get work done.
That was before the iPhones and the Androids. If BB had embraced the prepaid market wholesale then they would've alienated their fans. They did embrace it to an extent... but too little too late.
Plus the BB is not what it used to be. They had so many things going for them a while back. The iPhone had just came on and they had a horrible way for notifications. BB had the upper hand. But they let it slip. The iPhones and the Androids took over.
Good bye BB. It was nice.
I take it that it still costs $60/month for data?
Two things.
1. This phone should have dropped the same time as the Prevail.
2. Boost should have taken a cue from Virgin and dropped the Blackberry surcharge.
I wonder if hacking the service books would enable data?
It happened with the Tour so it might be able to be done.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using HowardForums
If you're going to take the hacking into your own hands. Deathtrip closed up the portal that was being used by his hacked service books. There's reports of some folks working on their own hacks and Deathtrip has put forth instructions somewhere (I saw it cant remember where) on how he did it.
All it'll take is for someone to put up a portal and make their own service books. Everyone can start using it.
Can it be done? Yes. Can it be done for this particular phone? Not sure.
Hi everyone.. Does anyone know why this Blackberry isn't listed in the phone lineup on Boost? I seen the information about the plan change and information about the phone but now I can't seem to find it.. Has it not been released to retail stores?? Thanks![]()
The offer page says "available 7/10".
