Thanks for that Neilwick. That's what I'd read on the net and from all the hub bub that's what I'd gathered. I hadn't seen the blog post that you linked to.

That isn't true. This is a brand new BlackBerry model just being introduced now.
That's not the case at all. The rumour started from a misinterpretation a March 2012 earnings call in which they said they were planning to focus more on the enterprise market rather than trying to be all things to all people. In case anyone didn't know BB is going to stop offering devices to end users and are going to go exclusive to corporations only.
Rim clarified: "To be really clear, we are fully committed to the consumer market." See http://blogs.blackberry.com/2012/03/...nsumer-market/

Will Boost offer the current Unlimited Everything BlackBerry plan for this device?
or is the BB 9310 an Unlimited BBM, Talk & Text Plan Only device?
@ $99 the BB 9310 might be limited to the new Unlimited BBM service plan.
And if it is limited to Wi-Fi Data only, will there be access to BlackBerry App World?
Either way, it's a great phone.![]()
Operating without a contract makes you far more valuable.
*Wi-Fi access is a feature of the BlackBerry Curve 9310.
For customers who want access to a full mobile data experience, the BlackBerry Curve 9310 is also available with BlackBerry Monthly Unlimited with Shrinking Payments which includes Unlimited Nationwide Talk, Text messaging, Web, email and calls to 411, from $60/month to as low as $45/month.
BBM Monthly Unlimited is a great fit for any talk-and text-centric customer, including iDEN customers who are considering a new CDMA device. Additionally, this offer combined with the flexibility and convenience of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), is a great value for customers looking to communicate with friends and family abroad as it is FREE to send international messages, pictures, and more through BBM.
* Email and GPS available only with the BlackBerry Monthly Unlimited Plan starting at $60/month.
I'm happy about this phone, yes, yes, it's the bottom of the barrel Blackberry..........again, but I pay $45 right now for unlimited, talk, text, and data on my 8530, OS7 sounds much nicer.
Contract?, I don't need no stinkin contract
You do not have to give up your data. The phone can be used both ways. If you want data, you pony up the extra $ for it. $60 for unlimited. But with this device you can choose not to have data and go wifi only (with BBM) for $45. You'll also qualify for shrinkage discounts either way.
This might be the next wave of getting regular "dumb phone" users to give up their device and go with a smart phone.
Does anyone know, is this blackberry model the same as the 9320 ??
It is indeed the cdma version of the 9320 from what I have gathered. Nice phone for 100 dollars, extra battery life will be great

Nothing can be worse then my ZTE Warp! I just hope I can buy this at best buy because the style was only available at radio shack or on the web where I live.

The style was great shame they took it off so quickly. I didn't like the warp at all, the curve should last all day easily. Os7 is fantastic I've used it on a bold 9930 and curve 9350 very smooth compared to os5 and os6
