4G On HTC Evo Design

I have a question regarding the 4G function of the phone. When we were in Auburn, NY recently, I would get a 4G connection when we were in our hotel. Now that I am back in Pennsylvania, I don't get any 4G coverage while working in downtown Pittsburgh. The Sprint map says that Pittsburgh does have 4G and I have confirmed it with Sprint directly. I turn the 4G on and it says scanning, connecting, then disconnected. I know that I don't have any coverage at home but am certain I should have it during the day at work. I thought that maybe before I call Boost somebody on the forum would have any ideas why this is happening and what I could do to remedy it.

My old EVO on Sprint used to do that once in a while, I'd reboot it and most of the time it would fix it.
