How do I flash my Samsung Galaxy 2 from Sprint to Boost?
I'm a family of 6 with one income. Sprint is eating me up! I truly need to flash my phone which I LOVE over. I have my MSL, I've got a terminal emulator, I can access my data, I have my Hex # but I don't know how to flash it without bricking or not being able to use my phone at all. I need to learn quickly. Our Sprint services are due to disconnect tomorrow. The economy has put us in a struggle just as it has others. Looking for ways to cut spending. Switching carrier would help tremendously! I like their services and I've had boost before so I'm aware of their services as well. Please help! I'm tech savy in that I learn quickly. I got a tip that the unlock code is way simple but I don't know where to begin... can't afford the $25 bucks (cheapest) I've found to get it flashed!
Go to XDA developers to get this answered. I saw a tutorial there.
You can also consider flashing it to metroPCS if it is available to you. I have my sprint S2 flashed to metro and get unlimited text, talk, mms, web and gps for $40- includes taxes. XDA also has tutorial.
I have a Sprint Samsung SII 4G that will not work on Boost. I talked to tech support twice today. Even though it's the identical model number, they can't register the ESN (DEC number). I want to use this phone. It has twice as much RAM (2 GB instead of 1) as the Boost version. (The advertised 16 GB seems to be pretty much ROM.)
I'm confused. I've seen messages saying you can ask Boost to alter or delete the ESN?
Is flashing the only option? The suggested XDA developers site is only accessible to registered users and offers no way to register that I can find.
