Myself and my girlfriend recently switched from Sasktel to Virgin, porting out numbers over. I recently received out first bill and i have been charged long distance for all of my calls even if i called my girlfriend from a shop down the road. I have spoken to customer care who couldnt figure out the problem and instead gave me free long distance calls. I then phoned up to do the same for my girlfriend and they wouldnt look into the problem for me on her phone (different rep). Now i have also had complaints off friends saying they have been charged long distance for calls made to me.
Has anyone had any experience of this or have a solution for me to tell the Virgin rep how to fix the problem and get them to recognise my local calling area, they say it is all correct in their system but they must be missing something
Thanks in hope for your help

Its really a big problem to pay lots of money for calling. Even if you are calling from local area ,you are going to pay for long distance. It is better to use a free phone number which are free to call or you can use many other numbers which are very cheap to call such as 08 and 03 numbers and many more.
